Healing Bath Tea - A Poem

Healing Bath Tea

Allow the sachet to swirl under the fresh running water
Allow the tea to drip down from your crown, over your heart, and into the water, your root
Allow the waters to change from crisp clear to herbal gray
Mix in your sorrows
Mix in your pain
Release it to the water, release it through your root
Allow the water to cleanse you
Feel the warmth surrounding
See the steam rising
Smell the fresh earth bathing
Hear the stillness
Mix in your presence
Mix in your hope
Release it with the steam, release it through your crown
Allow the steam to cleanse you
Swirl it all around
Mix the water and the air and the body and splash, make a splash, loosen up!
Hold the sachet and squeeze it
Let the water drain
See the red tea drip
It drips and disapates
The red tea turns into gray water
Find the metaphor
Hold it close
Allow the water to cool
Stand up and be thankful
Stretch long and tall
Remove the sachet and hang to dry
Wring out the old water
And move forward, cleansed, into life
